This enchanting journey, where nature's wonders and quiet serenity converge, will leave you with memories to treasure long after the adventure ends.

Mount Maunganui Beach Day

Discover the charm of Mount Maunganui, one of New Zealand's most beloved seaside destinations. Begin your afternoon with a stroll along the golden sands of the iconic Main Beach, consistently ranked among the best beaches in the world. For the adventurous, take the scenic walk to the summit of Mauao, the sacred mountain, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding islands. For a less strenuous but equally stunning option, enjoy a leisurely walk around the base of the Mount or venture to Leisure Island (Moturiki Island), which offers picturesque views and a connection to nature.

After exploring, indulge in some boutique shopping or relax in the saltwater hot pools at the base of Mauao. Treat yourself to a private pool experience or a rejuvenating massage for ultimate relaxation. Wrap up your day with a delightful dinner at one of Mount Maunganui’s top-notch restaurants, savoring the fresh, local flavors of this vibrant seaside town.

Ōkere Falls Adventure

Our Ōkere Falls Adventure offers a choice between three exciting ways to explore its natural beauty and history.

For thrills, Rotorua Ziplines lets you soar over the Kaituna River and Tutea Falls, the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall, with stunning views and a swing bridge.

If rafting is more your style, Rotorua Rafting takes you down the Kaituna River’s rapids, including the thrilling Tutea Falls, guided by experts for an unforgettable adventure.

For a scenic option, hike the 1.2-mile Ōkere Falls Track, offering beautiful views of the falls and river. An optional offshoot leads to a cave and steep steps through tunnels, adding an adventurous detour to the trail.

Whether you choose ziplining, rafting, or hiking with a cave exploration, Ōkere Falls offers something for every adventurer.

Māori Cultural Experience

Te Pō Combo (Te Rā, Dinner + Haka). Experience an unforgettable evening of Māori culture, nature, and connection with the Te Pō Combo at Te Puia. This immersive 4.5-hour experience begins with a guided tour of the stunning geothermal valley, where you’ll explore native bush, geysers, and mud pools, and feel the power of the Pōhutu Geyser—the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. You’ll also visit the Kiwi Conservation Centre and the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute, gaining insight into the region’s unique heritage and conservation efforts.

After the tour, indulge in a buffet dinner at the Pātaka Kai Restaurant & Bar, which offers a breathtaking view of the geothermal landscape. The menu features freshly sourced produce, traditionally cooked meats, seafood (kai moana), and a selection of sweet desserts.

The evening concludes with a captivating cultural performance in the beautifully carved Te Aronui a Rua meeting house. Experience a pōhiri (traditional Māori welcome), waiata (song), mōteatea (chant), poi, and haka, and immerse yourself in the power and beauty of Māori tradition.

Finish your night with a stroll back into the geothermal landscape, sipping hot chocolate and reflecting on the rich cultural experience. This adventure is a perfect way to deepen your connection to Māori culture, offering an enriching blend of nature, history, and tradition.
