One of our biggest adventures was moving from Oregon (USA) to New Zealand. My family includes my wife, a certified midwife, and three adult children (one of whom stayed in Oregon). 

We instantly felt at home, and were in awe of the beauty and adventure of this little island in the South Pacific. When friends and family visit we share travel adventures with them. It has been such a joy to explore and relax together in this amazing country. We’ve learned so much about the people of New Zealand and their culture, including the tangata whenua (Māori), "the people of the land," which has helped us to adapt to our new home.

During my entire career, as a camp director, CEO, and science teacher (30+ years), I’ve been passionate about working with youth and adults in adventure, sports, and team-building camps and events. 

A few years ago, I discovered pickleball at Rotorua Pickleball Club and was immediately hooked. Now, as Membership Coordinator on the club’s committee, I connect locals and tourists with opportunities to play together and offer personal coaching to help them improve their game. Seeing the growing interest in pickleball inspired me to combine my passions for this sport and the unique beauty of New Zealand.

That’s how Next Level Pickleball Adventures was born. As a certified coach through Pickleball Coaching International, I bring players to New Zealand for Destination Pickleball & Adventure Tours. My goal is to create unforgettable experiences that blend skill-building and fun on the court along with exploring New Zealand’s adventures and stunning landscapes. Come for the pickleball, stay for the adventure!
